Job Summary

The Child Welfare Services Branch (CWSB) of the Department of Human Services is responsible for providing services for child protection, foster care, adoption, independent living skills, case management, foster home recruitment and licensing, and contracted support and treatment services to prevent and remedy abuse and neglect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to individuals and families, including assessment, case planning, and intervention.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address the needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive and coordinated services.
  • Conduct home visits and other assessments to determine the needs of clients.
  • Provide education and support to clients to help them achieve their goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • One year of experience for Level III and two years of experience for Level IV in a social work setting.
  • Valid driver's license required for some positions.
