The role of Electrical Plant Specialist involves ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and electro-mechanical plant equipment or machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment or machinery
- Implement a proactive maintenance strategy to prevent electrical faults
- Identify and rectify electrical faults through effective fault-finding techniques
- Program and operate Siemens and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Utilize various testing equipment to locate and remedy electrical faults
- Promote efficiency and productivity by implementing Lean practices
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and contribute to safe systems of work documentation
- Adhere to industry standards and quality control procedures as per BSEN ISO 9001
This dynamic role will enable you to utilize your electrical engineering skills and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As an Electrical Plant Specialist, you will be required to perform tasks that may involve physical demands, requiring you to be physically fit.
About You:
- You are an electrically biased engineer with a minimum level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and significant experience working in a manufacturing/factory environment
- You possess strong knowledge of health and safety best practices, prioritizing safety above all else
- You are flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a busy and dynamic environment where priorities change frequently
Additionally, you have experience with PLCs, diagnostics, pneumatics, team collaboration, good communication skills, and working knowledge of EHS processes.
