About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with local government officials, developers, and the public to discuss development plans and land use.
- Conducting research and analysis of economic, environmental, and market data.
- Carrying out site investigations to assess factors affecting land use.
- Reviewing site plans and assessing the feasibility of proposals.
- Staying up-to-date with zoning and building codes, environmental regulations, and other legal issues.
- Presenting plans and reports to stakeholders.
- Obtaining required permits.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Town Planning or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 months of local experience.
- A passion for the field and a demonstrated understanding of QLD planning policies and legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
