About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our team at FIS. As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and implementing quality technical or functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
  • Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
  • Manage backlog of user stories for one or more projects/features.
  • Establish user story acceptance criteria, accepts user stories, refines stories with Scrum teams.
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
  • Create Sprint Release Plans with input from development teams.
  • Monitor the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders as requested.
  • Lead planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements.
  • Interact with product owners and product managers to define/translate requirements and modifications into product designs.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of treasury requirements and current regulations that apply to our current and prospective clients.

Requirements

  • A sound knowledge of financial services industry.
  • General IT knowledge, be able to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts.
  • Sound analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A high degree of numeracy and a capacity for complex concepts.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise concurrent tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A background in Corporate treasury, finance knowledge, payment processing or banking is a big plus.
  • The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience with the agile development process.
