Senior Environmental Legal Advisor

The Defence Housing Australia is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to provide high-level legal advice and support across various areas, including environment, planning and heritage law, construction law, and real property law.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver legal services in environment, planning and heritage law, covering Commonwealth and State environmental assessment processes, biodiversity impacts and offsets, land access, pollution, contamination, waste and water law, cultural heritage, climate change, and ESG considerations.
- Advising on construction contracts, risk management, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance in Construction Law.
- Support land acquisition and disposal processes in Real Property Law.
- Extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in environment, planning and heritage law, construction law, and real property law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert legal advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
