About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Supervisor to join our Head Office Finance Team at CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end ownership of the Accounts Payable process and overseeing the billing and receipting process for Accounts Receivable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and check all supplier invoices in the Concur AP system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Codify all invoices to appropriate general ledger account codes, demonstrating a working knowledge of our accounts and program structure.
  • Monitor incoming invoices and workflow to ensure timely approval and processing throughout the business.
  • Process regular payment runs to ensure all suppliers are paid in accordance with payment terms.
  • Reconcile major supplier accounts to ensure all invoices are received and processed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance our operational tasks.
  • Run and reconcile the billing interface files between the Carelink system and the Finance system.
  • Process all manual invoice transactions in the accounting system.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in modern Accounts Payable/Receivable systems, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end processes.
  • Experience in modern ERP accounting platforms.
  • Account reconciliation skills, including general ledger, subsidiary ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and fixed assets.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • High-level competency with software for financial reporting, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team to deliver management outcomes.
