About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Coordinator to join our team. As a Research Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the funding application review process, managing grant review committees, and working with the research team to implement an annual research grants funding calendar.

Main Responsibilities

  • Funding Application Review: Coordinate the funding application review process annually within agreed parameters, ensuring timely and efficient processing of applications.
  • Grant Management: Manage grant review committees, providing secretariat support, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Research Grants Calendar: Work with the research team to co-ordinate and implement an annual research grants funding calendar, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including academics, funding agencies, and consumers, to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, draft reports, and ensure that funding guidelines and associated materials are kept up-to-date, facilitating informed decision-making and efficient operations.
  • New Researcher Induction: Provide induction for new researchers to build engagement with, and an understanding of, the research program, ensuring smooth onboarding and optimal performance.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and continuously improve operating processes and procedures, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the research team, the broader health research and innovation teams, and other internal teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
