About the Role

As a Health and Safety Professional with Monadelphous, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce. This position is based in our Kalgoorlie branch and requires an individual who can provide expert HSE support and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with client and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to identify and mitigate HSE risks, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Develop and implement HSE plans, registers, and reports to ensure effective management of hazards and incidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas, including mine sites, workshops, offices, and yards, to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that protective equipment is properly used, maintained, and stored, and that hazardous materials are handled and stored safely.
  • Monitor and track maintenance of fire fighting equipment, electrical equipment, emergency equipment, first aid kits, and spill kits.
  • Test and tag rigging and lifting equipment to ensure it is safe for use.
  • Coordinate and present daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and campaigns to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced diploma or diploma in Work Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and industry standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience using HSE data systems to manage and analyze safety data.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise reports and instructions.
