System Development Role

Description:

This position involves conducting research, consulting, and analysing system programme requirements to identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on system programme needs and consult with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify and evaluate technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and processes
  • Test, debug, and correct errors and faults in applications programming languages within established testing protocols and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain high-quality programme code to meet system requirements and technical specifications
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on software design activities, including financial evaluation and costing for recommending software purchases and upgrades
  • Analyse user needs, produce requirements documentation, and encode, test, debug, maintain, and document programmes and applications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in IT
  • Business acumen with a strong IT background
  • 3+ years' experience in development or support in banking, cards, payments, insurance, or financial services environment
  • Experience working with Java, NodeJS, or Dot Net
  • Familiarity with Microservices, API, and Spring boot
  • Exposure to agile or scrum methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
