About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level accounting and finance knowledge and experience within the finance team, allowing for a split of business-as-usual and implementation support work between the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and management reports, as well as annual accounts for audit and statutory reporting.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and performance manage the Finance team, ensuring the day-to-day financial operations run smoothly.
  • Financial Operations: Monitor and manage payroll, accounts payable, and other financial transactions.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial and analytical support to the Chief Financial Officer, including guidance on compiling program budgets and forecasting.
  • Financial Systems: Develop, implement, and monitor financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to support the efficient operation of the Finance function.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
