Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will provide support to the current Warehousing & Distribution contract management team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for performing and achieving complex logistics inventory and asset management within an integrated workforce.
  • Contribute to various logistics management activities to provide support to units within Defence.
  • Participate in the review and development of policies, procedures and processes for logistics management.
  • Draft responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics management.
  • Understand and clarify logistics policy and legislation for stakeholders within Defence.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participates in team work and group activities.
  • Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
  • Interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Design solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.

About the Role:

The Supply Chain Branch is an integrated team of military, civilians and contractors who contribute to the JLC mission of enabling Australian Defence Force operations and readiness through adaptive, effective and efficient military logistics.
