Project Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will play a key role in the early contractor involvement in design and pre-TOC development of major water infrastructure projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Pre-Contracts Project Engineer to support project execution while promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment. This position will focus on applying strong engineering principles to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company on the MDJV Framework at pre-and-post RFTDS meetings with clients.
  • Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
  • Track project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction/Project Management.
  • 4+ years of Project Engineering experience in the Water, utilities, or transport spaces.
  • Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with people at all levels, and other stakeholders as required.
