Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of IT systems, evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls, and providing professional support to enhance audit processes.
- Evaluate IT controls for audit reliance purposes, ensuring they are effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Assess IT Environments: Identify potential risks and control weaknesses in external audit clients' IT environments.
- Automation of Audit Processes: Improve efficiency and reduce manual effort by innovating and automating audit procedures.
- Provide professional support to other teams when capacity allows, sharing expertise and knowledge to assist in overall organizational success.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to the preparation of client deliverables.
- Provide recommendations to the broader team on key areas of the audit that may be better addressed via data extraction or IT controls testing.
- Train staff on enhanced IT tools and skills, as well as the role of IT audit within the broader assurance landscape.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT auditing, specifically in external audit environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in assessing and evaluating IT controls.
- Demonstrated ability to automate audit processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborative work experience, offering support and guidance to different teams.
- Efficiency initiatives, including recommendations of systems, software, and IT-based processes that may create audit efficiencies.
