Project Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our EPCM Greenfields project in Africa. The successful candidate will be based in Perth until mid-next year, after which they will transition to site on a FIFO basis, working in one of the safest jurisdictions in Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute project plans, covering timelines, budgets, and resource strategies.
- Lead and guide multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
- Oversee all project phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address deviations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and reduce risks.
- Manage stakeholder communications and build strong client and subcontractor relationships.
- Provide timely progress updates to Senior Management.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Preferably Process or Mechanical Engineering.
- A successful track record in project management roles within the mining and mineral processing industry.
- Strong technical expertise in project planning, execution, and delivery.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams across different levels and cultures.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software applications.
- Proven experience managing complex projects in multicultural and international environments.
- PMP or Prince2 certification is desirable.
