As part of our Mental Health Division, we are seeking an enthusiastic Carer Peer Support Worker to join our HOPE Program. Located in South Morang, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, psycho-social support workers, and carer/consumer peer support workers.

The Hospital Outreach Post Suicide Program (HOPE) is designed to provide up to 12 weeks of practical support and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to consumers at risk of suicide. As a Carer Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in addressing the unique social, economic, historical, and environmental factors that contribute to suicidality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to consumers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
