We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Whitehaven Coal Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and distribution of employee remuneration in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and pay monthly and weekly payouts for wages employees employed under various enterprise agreements.
- Process payroll for salaried employees.
- Provide high-quality transactional payroll services, ensuring regular payment of full entitlements to all employees.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations as required.
- Process and set up new employees in the system.
- Process leave forms and maintain accurate employee data.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, and Acts pertaining to payroll and the Coal Industry.
- Provide reporting and analysis to the broader business as required.
- Relevant experience as a Payroll Officer in a large organisation.
- Experience with enterprise agreements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the use of Success Factors and SAP software (desirable).
- Mining Industry knowledge would be advantageous.
