The successful candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in managing the day-to-day operations of data centres. They will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Covering gaps in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster.
  2. Managing the on-site operations of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  3. Establishing performance benchmarks and conducting analyses on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  4. Generating Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for events managed by DCEO.
  5. Working with DC managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
  6. Establishing documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
  7. Reviewing routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  8. Assisting in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
  9. Driving and implementing projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
  10. Managing facility assets and providing infrastructure and inventory asset management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in maintaining a data centre or critical space facility.
  • Technical training in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
