Traffic Control Room Officer

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Room Officer to join our team at Transurban. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic on our roads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage traffic flow on our roads using advanced control systems
- Collaborate with field staff and emergency services to respond to incidents and maintain road safety
- Develop and implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions and optimize traffic flow
- Provide real-time information to stakeholders, media, and customers on road conditions and traffic updates
- Stay up-to-date with the latest traffic management policies, practices, and procedures
Requirements:
- Experience in a monitoring centre or operational environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
