Role Summary:

As a seasoned Project Controls Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of engineering and construction projects for key clients in Western Australia's mining and resources sector.

  • Developing and communicating project control procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project activities
  • Overseeing the delivery of Project Control Services across major mining upgrades projects
  • Monitoring progress and identifying potential issues related to budgets, schedules, and engineering standards
  • Representing the organization on Project Control matters, building strategic partnerships with clients
  • Preparing project reports, including forecasts and variance analysis

Key Responsibilities:

Project Control

  • Develop and implement project control procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of project control services
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions

Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Represent the organization on project control matters

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present project reports, including forecasts and variance analysis

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in Project Controls, with a strong track record of leading teams
  • A background in mining, preferably within an EPCM/ESP environment
  • In-depth knowledge of cost terminology, budget allocation, WBS, SOW, and change management
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of financial and risk management principles
  • Critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude
