About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lineworker to join our team at our South Metro Depot in Forrestdale. As a Lineworker, you will be responsible for constructing and maintaining the transmission and/or distribution electricity network to ensure a safe, reliable, and affordable supply of electricity to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and maintain the transmission and/or distribution electricity network to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner.
  • Rectify faults promptly and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimize customer impact.
  • Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network.
  • Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Overhead.
  • Valid WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
  • Valid WA 'HR' Class Drivers Licence (preferred but not essential).
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
  • HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Glove and Barrier is highly regarded but not essential.

We are seeking someone with a strong background in the electricity industry and excellent technical skills. You will be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
