Job Title: Ward Clerk

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a ward clerk in a busy acute dialysis unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the nursing team, ensuring the smooth operation of the ward and delivering excellent patient care.

About the Role:

  • Provide administrative support to the nursing team, including answering phones, responding to emails and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families and staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
