We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Speech Therapist to join our team in East Melbourne. As a Clinical Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language supports to clients of all ages with a variety of needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and judgment to provide a wide range of speech and language supports to clients
- Assess the communication and/or mealtime management abilities of clients using a range of assessment techniques and tools
- Design intervention plans that are holistic, client-centred and outcome-driven
- Provide support to and assist clients, carers, and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
- Develop care plans and write comprehensive reports based on advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments, and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs
- Liaise with other health professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients
- Practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based principles in assessment and treatment
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Enjoy working with children (prior experience not required, although will be helpful)
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider number
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia (or working towards this)
- 3k Clinical Professional Development budget (cost for leadership courses will be in addition to CPD budget) + paid study leave days
