Senior Healthcare Provider Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Senior Healthcare Provider to join our Harbourstone Enhanced Care team in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

  • Assess resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff to provide quality healthcare services.
  • Provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services respecting clients' rights and dignity.
  • Work collaboratively with management and health services teams to promote effective communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and reporting standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Apply dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy to meet residents' healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of health services staff to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with management and health services teams to ensure high-quality care and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and reporting standards to support evidence-based practice.
  • Apply dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy to meet residents' healthcare needs.
About You
  • Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the changing needs of residents.
  • A valid CPR & First Aid Certification is required to ensure residents receive quality care.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire is necessary to protect the well-being of our residents.
  • Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments is an asset to delivering quality care.
