About the Position

  • As an Electrical Control Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence across multiple projects, ranging from longer-term greenfield initiatives to modernisation and/or refurbishment of Brownfield facilities.
  • You will participate in initial scoping & requirements gathering, review of engineering specifications, detailed design and programming through to testing and commissioning stages.
  • You will pursue problem-solving and troubleshooting across the entire life cycle of the project, ensuring a timely and structured approach used for issue resolution.
  • You will apply sound technical knowledge of control systems and technologies across a range of clients and industry portfolios.
  • You will work collaboratively within dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams, involving progress meetings and client interactions.
  • You will contribute to business development activities as required, participating in proposal writing and tender submissions with clients.
  • You will engage in ongoing training and development including a mixture of practical & theoretical in-house and external training programs.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other engineering backgrounds.
  • A hands-on and collaborative nature, with proven experience in delivering automation projects in a timely manner.
  • Solid programming experience in various PLCs and SCADA technologies. Experience with HMIs, DCS, RTUs and other automation technologies will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in a highly regulated or high-risk industry; water/utilities, oil & gas, pharmaceutical or FMCG environments.
  • Engineering Consultancy experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Effectiveness and influence in communication, with proven skills dealing directly with clients on project requirements and specifications.
  • Self-driven individuals with a willingness to learn and develop.
