After Hours Telehealth GP Role

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to provide after-hours telehealth services for residential aged care facilities.

  • The successful candidate will conduct remote consultations, providing timely and high-quality medical support to residents.

About the Role:

  • Provide acute medical support, clinical oversight, and continuity of care for residents.
  • Update medication charts, issue prescriptions, and order investigations as needed.
  • Manage and follow up on acute issues raised by facility staff.
  • Communicate with family members and provide referrals to specialists where required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within 30 minutes of completing rounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct after-hours telehealth rounds for residential aged care facilities.
  • Consultations may be initiated by either residents or facility staff.
  • Full administrative support provided.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current AHPRA General Registration.
  • Experience in residential aged care or primary care settings.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
  • Confidence using telehealth platforms and electronic medical records.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
