ICU Nurse Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a core member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients and support junior staff in their development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in ICU nursing, with excellent clinical leadership and mentoring skills. They will also possess advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of person-centred care, while promoting a positive, collaborative, and culturally safe team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering expert clinical care in a high-acuity ICU setting
  • Supporting, guiding, and mentoring Registered, Enrolled, Graduate, and Student Nurses
  • Managing portfolios aligned with the 8 National Safety & Quality Health Standards
  • Contributing to staff education and performance development
  • Acting in charge and stepping into Clinical Manager duties as needed
  • Documenting and reporting patient care in line with quality standards
  • Promoting a positive, collaborative, and culturally safe team environment
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in an Intensive/Critical Care Unit
  • Postgraduate qualification in Intensive or Critical Care Nursing
  • Strong clinical leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Resilience under pressure and excellent clinical judgment
  • A collaborative, respectful, and compassionate approach to care
  • Full eligibility to work in Australia
