
Nutrition Specialist

The Cancer Survivorship Dietitian role is available at The Prince of Wales Hospital. This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualised dietetic assessment and advice to patients living with and beyond cancer.
Key responsibilities include supporting patients in management of common dietary concerns faced by cancer survivors, such as reducing risk of cancer recurrence, managing fatigue, and optimising cardiovascular and bone health.
Job Description- This Dietitian will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and recovering from it.
- Dietary assessments and advice will be provided to help patients manage lifestyle changes and nutritional needs.
- A qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award is necessary.
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics is required.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills are needed, including ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and support others in providing service excellence is required.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgment is necessary.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes is also required.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning is essential.
