Community Capacity Building Coordinator

At Carers Queensland, we are seeking a highly skilled Community Capacity Building Coordinator to join our team in the Brisbane Moreton Region. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities and their families.
We offer a full-time role with work from home days available at our North Lakes site, close to Westfield Shopping Centre. Our attractive remuneration package includes a salary of $85,421.81 per annum (plus superannuation 11.5%), excellent not-for-profit tax benefits, accrued days off, gifted day for Christmas, access to discounted corporate private health, and professional development through ongoing training.
About the RoleThis key position will have a focus on building and strengthening the capacity of people with disabilities, their families, and carers, as well as government, business, and community sectors. You will implement processes and plans using a person-centered approach, deliver program-wide strategy to engage stakeholders, lead community capacity building projects, and develop strategic relationships to ensure the best outcomes for clients and the organisation.

Requirements- A qualification in Disability, Community Development, Education, Human Services or similar
- High-level communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport quickly and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved
- Demonstrated ability to follow process and systems while being adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of our community and their needs
- Demonstrated experience working in the human services sector
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking a range of community capacity building activities to assist communities to reach a desired outcome
- Strong decision-making skills including the ability to analyse need and measure risk
