Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of the technical environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review technical drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations, circuits, and stations.
  • Assist engineers and the engineering team with design and layout of electrical installations on infrastructure such as substations, switches, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
  • Plan and supervise preventative maintenance of manufacturing machines and tools.
  • Execute designed improvements by installation and/or fabrication of those plans.
  • Manage consumables and materials while considering budget constraints.
  • Work with onsite installers for any alterations needed to installation equipment or tools.
  • Assemble, test, update, and monitor all electrical equipment to ensure legal and safety requirements are met.
  • Install assemblies for protection relays, metering, and monitoring devices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant environment or comparable job position.
  • Trained in using various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Excellent in interpreting and drafting technical drawings.
  • Confident in designing and implementing improvements in electrical processes.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently.

Salary: $87,500 - $107,500 plus superannuation
