Electrical Drafter/BIM Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter/BIM Technician to join our team at Marble. As a key member of our QLD Electrical & Construction team, you will be responsible for generating digital models and integrated data from design to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the process of generating digital models and integrated data from the design to the construction stage.
  • Manage the BIM workflow and efficiently address any potential issues during modeling, clash detection, and data conversion.
  • Capture site-installed equipment with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with LOD 500 models.
  • Maintain and update electrical models according to site installation for As-Built compliance.
  • BIM Coordination.
  • Manage workload and resources with the BIM Manager throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with the construction, scheduling, and engineering teams to update/modify the model as needed.
  • Develop 3D documentation in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Edit models based on Engineers' recommendations.
  • Assist Engineers with design calculations and drawings.
  • Deliver high-standard work within required time frames.
  • Use BIM tools to provide technical support and mentoring to the project team.
  • Manage and maintain project content, including family setups, and source additional content as required.
  • Communicate changes in procedures and standards effectively to project teams.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets, workflows, and project setup.
  • Offer cross-team support and communicate effectively.
  • Perform daily model management, administration, and maintenance.
  • Handle and coordinate sensitive and confidential information.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position on a large project.
  • Proficient in delivering project documentation to LOD 400 or higher.
  • Experience with site capture equipment and methods.
  • Experience as a BIM Coordinator.
  • MEP Services experience, particularly in Electrical (or architectural and structural), with senior experience in tray work.
  • Extensive experience with BIM software in a building engineering environment.
  • Proven experience delivering MEP BIM projects in Australia.
  • Experience working on projects across multiple offices/sites.
  • Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • White Card and Security Clearance required.
