Job Title: Retail Procurement Specialist

Good Luck Supermarket Pty Ltd is a leading Asian grocery supermarket in Blacktown, with a vast area of 13,000 square meters. We are committed to providing exceptional services and shopping experiences to our customers.

We are seeking a skilled Retail Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of fresh produce items and daily necessities for our supermarket clients.

Your focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating exclusive deals, and ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring sales data and inventory levels to stay informed about market trends and price fluctuations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with fresh produce suppliers to ensure access to high-quality products and exclusive deals.
  • Formulating and controlling the price of all related products, carrying out marketing and promotion plans, and following up on their implementation.
  • Maintaining barrier-free communication with company management to ensure that long-term purchasing and sales strategies align with overall business goals and management plans.
  • Analysing sales data to forecast future demand and plan purchasing accordingly, aligning with company budget and targets.
  • Monitoring industry trends and consumer behavior to identify new product opportunities and expand product ranges.
  • Conducting thorough quality assessments of received goods to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Evaluating supplier performance and negotiating agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Business is a must.
  • At least 1 year full-time retail buyer working experience in fresh produce buying, sourcing, or related retail goods buying in supermarket retail environment is a must.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must.
  • Have professional knowledge in supply chain management, procurement, communication, or a related field.
  • Have working experiences in Asian company (China, Singapore, etc.) is preferred.
  • Sensitive to market movements. Ability to analyze and evaluate market research data.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective management and leadership skills.
