Imaging and Inspection Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to carry out radiographic inspections on explosive ordnance items, interpret x-ray images, and assess defects. The role involves creating inspection processes and documentation, setting up and maintaining safe working boundaries, supporting trials and experiments with radiographic data, and managing radiographic equipment and facilities.

The successful candidate will have experience using x-ray equipment for radiographic testing, a strong understanding of radiation safety and workplace safety standards, hands-on experience with digital radiography, and be comfortable using Microsoft Office. They must also be able to prepare and follow safety procedures and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out and lead radiographic inspections on EO items
  • Interpret x-ray images and assess defects
  • Create inspection processes and documentation
  • Set up and maintain safe working boundaries
  • Support trials and experiments with radiographic data
  • Manage radiographic equipment and facilities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience using x-ray equipment for radiographic testing (especially with castings)
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and workplace safety standards
  • Hands-on experience with digital radiography
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
