About the Opportunity

The position involves working with women and children at imminent risk of homelessness, supporting them to remain safely in their existing housing or secure stable housing.

  • Identify and support women and children at imminent risk of homelessness.
  • Rapidly and safely re-house women and children who are homeless.
  • Provide safe and secure accommodation for women and children in crisis, and support them to access stable housing.
  • Support women and children who are re-housed after becoming homeless to stay housed.
  • Offer after-hours support and accommodation for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.

You will work with a range of women and children at different levels of intensity and at different stages of the program. Your key responsibilities include assessing needs, developing individual plans, referral, and providing wraparound services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and development of individual plans.
  • Referral to relevant services and provision of support.
  • After-hours Domestic and Family Violence Response Enhancement.
  • Liaising with government and non-government service providers.
Requirements
  • Experience in Case Management practice and strengths-based approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complex needs of women and families facing homelessness and domestic violence.
  • Proven engagement skills resulting in effective change management.
