Transport Officer Job Description

The Transport Officer is a vital role in our organization, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy vehicles in accordance with road rules and regulations, adhering to safety principles and courteous driving practices.
  • Demonstrate high-level communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Provide customer service to our clients and workforce, maintaining healthy relationships and resolving issues promptly.
  • Deliver essential materials efficiently using heavy vehicles, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruptions.
  • Load and unload handling units in a busy environment, adhering to safe work practices and minimizing risks.
  • Work effectively as a member of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Adhere to safety principles and key competencies, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A current Medium Rigid, Heavy Rigid, or Multi-Combination licence is mandatory.
  • A current Forklift or High Risk to Work licence is highly regarded, demonstrating additional skills and expertise.
  • Movement and physical suitability to perform manual handling tasks associated with the role, ensuring the ability to work safely and efficiently.
