Role Overview

The Classroom Teacher - English Teacher position at Schools (Government) is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to lead and support student learning and growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum programs that align with the school's goals and objectives, incorporating literacy and numeracy skills to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, and wellbeing.
• Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and pedagogy.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Qualifications and experience in teaching and/or curriculum development, with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the school's goals and objectives.
