About the RoleThe Senior Associate, Research & Analysis role works directly with the Client, Credit Risk Executive and Relationship Management team to complete the broader credit assessment function and ensure an optimal 'well-managed' portfolio.
The portfolio covers a broad range of industry sectors comprising of large privately-owned companies, multinational subsidiaries and small/mid-size listed companies.

Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of Corporate Banking clients across a broad range of industries.
- Identify and effectively manage risks inherent in the client's business model, industry, capital & management structure, and historical & forecast financial performance.
- Client interaction relating to transaction execution and day-to-day account management is core to the position.
- Develop credit strategy for organic growth opportunities, new-to-bank transactions and/or deteriorating credit profiles including deal structuring and execution.
- Conduct financial modelling & analysis in tandem with client & industry research.
- Liaise with clients and Credit Risk executives on risk and financial performance related matters, including covenant compliance and risk grade review events.
- Liaise with Product Partners to appropriately implement customer solutions.
- Exercise Credit Approval Discretion on lending decisions.
- Proactive management of a well-managed portfolio.
- Mentoring and coaching team members.
You will be supported by the Associate Director and Director (Research & Analysis) to support your learning and development.
What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
- Demonstrated financial analysis skills going beyond traditional accounting-based analysis to provide deep industry insight.
- Sound credit skills with the ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with strong customer focus.
- Experience in customer management and broad knowledge of banking processes and procedures.
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics.
- Sound communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
