About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legacy Modernisation Solutions Architect to join our team at Avanade. As a key member of our presales team, you will be responsible for leading engagements, providing expert services, and delivering complex solutions that span multiple technologies and offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead presales engagements and provide expert services to clients
  • Architect and design complex solutions using the Microsoft Stack
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure,.Net Platforms, Azure Dev Ops, Web, API, and Mobile
  • Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, SQL Server, HTML, C#, and.NET
  • Experience in application portfolio assessments, 7R Dispositions, and solid understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
  • Desirable certifications: AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate and AZ-305 Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
About You

You will be a familiar with the core Microsoft offerings and have an understanding of the broader Microsoft Ecosystem. You will have consulting experience working with external clients, client management skills, and the ability to work with clients to develop and manage an action plan. You will also have implementation experience across multiple industries, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and pre-Sales experience especially with right-fit solutioning based on high-level or ambiguous requirements and a good understanding of pricing strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Contribute across all phases of Avanade projects (e.g. Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, and Test)
  • Leverage technical expertise to Architect Design and Solution
  • Custom software solutions - greenfield and brownfield
  • Legacy Modernisation Solutions – legacy applications and mainframe
  • Cloud Migration, Journey to Cloud and Journey in Cloud Solutions
  • Liaise effectively between clients, IT staff, and business partners to ensure high-quality and timely delivery
  • Assess Client requirements and scope and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Design Conceptual and Technical architecture
  • Ensure project quality meets high technical standards
  • Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery
  • Support the team in defining technical, operational, and user requirements
  • Work under general guidance and direction, but fully independent in own work with latitude for autonomous decision-making related to work process
  • Lead Pre-Sales engagements, meeting tight timelines
  • Travel as needed
