We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Research Agronomist. As part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous and relevant on-farm research that addresses the future challenges faced by Queensland grain growers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop an understanding of Queensland farming systems and the factors that drive profitability, productivity, and sustainability.">
  • Design and deliver innovative on-farm research projects that meet the needs of regional grain growers and industry representatives.">
  • Collect and prepare soil, plant, and water samples for analysis from field trials to characterise aspects of crop performance, soil health, and farming system sustainability.">
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with regional grain growers, industry representatives, and key research providers to achieve project outcomes.">
  • Support other Farming System Innovation team projects and activities.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor degree or higher in Agricultural Science, Applied Science, or Rural Science. You should also have a current 'C' class drivers' license (preferably manual) and desirable hold a truck license.
