About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team at WooliesX. As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in leading complex technical initiatives and guiding squads through the application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple technical initiatives and projects, ensuring successful delivery and adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide input on technical design decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale technical projects and initiatives.
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and software development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
