A high-performing professional is required to drive the success of all conferencing and events operations. As the Conference and Events Director, you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in service and operations while exceeding guest expectations.
About the Role- Taking direction from senior leaders, with a proactive approach to improving relationships with existing clients and creating new function business.
- Directing, supervising, and coordinating operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient running of all functions within the hotel.
- Ensuring compliance with venue and hotel policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals to guarantee safety and profitability.
- Maintaining accurate statistical records and reporting.
- Controlling departmental expenses within set targets.
- Cultivating a sales culture to maximize up-selling and on-selling techniques.
- Ensuring effective organizational communication with other departments in preparation and follow-up of events.
- Establishing and maintaining minimum standards for back-of-house areas, focusing on functionality and cleanliness.
