Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced retail leader to join our dynamic and passionate team as a Department Manager at Spotlight Mentone. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Store Manager to effectively manage daily operations, achieve sales growth, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in managing daily operations effectively, achieving sales growth, and meeting regular KPI targets for your department.
  • Build a high-performing department team that delivers exceptional customer service, led by example and communicating management expectations.
  • Manage high-volume stock effectively, ensuring merchandising meets business expectations, conducting regular stocktakes, and implementing stock integrity initiatives.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and development functions, including developing and implementing performance plans.
Requirements
  • Retail management experience with a proven track record of leadership success.
  • Experience in high-volume stock management, preferably in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership style with an owner's mindset, inspiring teams to exceed goals and drive innovation.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • First Aid certification or willingness to be trained at our expense.
