Job Title:

Software Security Expert

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or compelling alternative path
  • A proven track record of going above expectations
  • Thorough understanding of security vulnerabilities and their fixes
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering techniques
  • Familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience as a security champion
  • Driving security within the SSDLC process
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Linux (Debian or Ubuntu) experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, passion, thoughtfulness, self-motivation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Results-oriented with personal drive to meet commitments

 

Optional Skills:
  • Effective communication with the team and community members
  • Experience working with the Linux kernel
  • Security certifications and knowledge of FIPS and/or Common Criteria
  • OVAL (Open Vulnerability Assessment Language) experience
  • Cryptographic module knowledge such as OpenSSL and Libgcrypt
  • Low-level Linux cryptography APIs knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Performance engineering experience
