About the Project

The Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project is an innovative project that involves the world-first conversion of a disused gold mine into a pumped storage hydroelectric power generation facility in far-north Queensland.

This project received funding from ARENA as part of ARENA's Advancing Renewables Program and is a gamechanger for the clean energy industry worldwide as it is an entirely new approach to large-scale energy storage.

We are currently recruiting for a talented and driven Site Engineer with FRP experience to deliver this iconic project.

About the Role

As a Site Engineer, you'll be helping coordinate on-site engineering functions for the project to help achieve time and budget objectives as well as provide efficient support for construction activities.

Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective.
  2. Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.
  3. Planning & Programming.
  4. Assist with procurement & supplier management.
  5. Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management.
