Business Innovation Leader

We are seeking an experienced business innovation leader to lead a collaborative and high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic assessments and recommendations that drive real change for customers and the business.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Melbourne CBD. As a business innovation leader, you will be accountable for leading a committed team that supports our business banking strategy across innovation, property, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to develop and deliver evidence-based innovation, property and partnership assessments and recommendations.
  • Analyse innovation trends including external market, commercial opportunities, industry and competitor patterns and partnership themes impacting business banking.
  • Shape initiatives within defined strategies, policies, and frameworks to deliver outcomes for customers, colleagues, and the business.
  • Support major and minor property projects to uplift working standards for bankers.
Requirements
  • Extensive banking experience with expertise in innovation, third-party arrangements, contract negotiations, and commercial/financial analysis.
  • Able to coach and mentor to build capability, while driving collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking landscape, including business banking requirements, and industry trends.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to shape direction, provide thought leadership, and influence outcomes at a senior level.
  • Skilled in managing and influencing senior stakeholders, building strong partnerships across the business.
