Restaurant Team Lead Role
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity where you will play a key role in ensuring that restaurants operate efficiently and profitably. You will be responsible for driving business performance, maintaining high standards of food quality, service delivery, and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Team Management: Assist with the correct and regular training and recognition of staff, motivate and encourage them, be involved in creating weekly schedules and rosters, and approve leave requests. Ensure all staff work in a safe environment and are treated with respect.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality control, and health and safety, assist with stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Business Performance: Support restaurant business performance by analysing and reporting on sales and service issues, preparing reports, adhering to budgets, reviewing and monitoring expenditures, and maximising revenue potential while working with the marketing department.
- Customer Service: Manage escalated customer issues related to their dining experience. Ensure all staff are trained on customer service skills and handle issues accordingly.
- Front-of-House Duties: Ensure the restaurant is always clean and tidy, staff wear the correct uniform, and adhere to our appearance policy.
- Health and Safety: Apply workplace health and safety standards in your property.
- Confidentiality: Keep confidential all business conversations with managers at all times.
- Compliance: Adhere to all legal compliances, such as RSA, Food Safety Standards, Visa Requirements, and Work Health and Safety.

- Working knowledge of WH&S and food safety procedures.
- Current RSA certificate and other necessary certifications.

- Achieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for results.

- Approachable and tolerant.
- Works efficiently and innovatively.
- Professional presentation and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation.
Salary: $68,000 - $70,000 per year.
Schedule: 8-hour shift.
Ability to commute/relocate: Southbank VIC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
Work Authorisation: Australia (preferred).
