**CSSD Department Head Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled leader to oversee our Central Sterile Services Department.
This critical role enables patient care across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
The CSSD Department Head will lead a team in maintaining rigorous standards of cleaning, disinfection, and sterility. They will collaborate closely with perioperative services and clinical departments on their instrumentation needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing decontamination and sterilization processes to ensure optimal results.
- Coordinating equipment maintenance and replacement schedules.
- Staying up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies in sterile processing.
To excel in this position, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of sterile processing workflows along with strong leadership abilities. A background in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
