We are seeking a skilled and compassionate support worker to provide quality care and services to young people with mental health issues. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support and services to young people in a residential setting.
- Work collaboratively with young people to achieve their goals and promote independence.
- Assist young people in developing daily living skills, building positive relationships, and improving emotional wellbeing.
- Act as a mentor and role model, promoting healthy living habits and supporting the development of self-esteem and confidence.
- Contribute to a supportive team environment, working closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality care and services.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Cert IV in Mental Health or related discipline.
- Experience working with young people experiencing mental health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to young people, families, and stakeholders with dignity and respect.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess risk and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Understanding of duty of care principles, rights to privacy and confidentiality.
