About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Cable Jointer to join our team at Essential Energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general construction, installation, connection, maintenance, and repair of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution network assets and equipment.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to undertake the Cable Jointer role in an energy distribution environment.
  • Work effectively during planned and unplanned events, participating in audits and safety processes.
  • Comply with enterprise WHS and environmental procedures and processes.
  • Apply Cable Jointer trade skills in an energy distribution environment.
  • Collaborate with others in a team environment and liaise with stakeholders and customers.
  • Utilize computer skills appropriate for the role.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing with electives in Install, Maintain, Fault Find, Switching, and repair, or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
  • Drivers licence.
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry, and business requirements.
