Executive Claims Leader

 

Becoming an executive claims leader is a vital opportunity to develop strong leadership skills and technical expertise in managing complex insurance claims. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of the insurance industry and its various stakeholders.

As an executive claims leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of claims professionals in accordance with our organization's service standards. This includes collaborating with underwriters and actuaries on claims trends and meeting with customers and broker partners to communicate our 'claims are our product' promise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of claims professionals to manage a broad portfolio of executive & professional lines claims.
  • Collaborate with the broader executive & professional lines team on claims trends, portfolio development, and policy wordings.
  • Meet and participate in meetings with customers and broker partners to drive timely and appropriate solutions.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years' experience handling executive & professional lines claims for an insurer or in legal practice.
  • Demonstrated technical mastery in negotiating and settling complex claims.
  • People management experience required.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of claims as a contributor to an overall insurance operation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
