Electrical Engineering Technician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Perth, AU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed drawings and plans for electrical installations, circuits, and stations.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and layout electrical installations on infrastructure such as substations, switches, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for manufacturing machines and tools.
  • Execute designed improvements by installation and/or fabrication of those plans.
  • Manage the ordering of necessary consumables and materials while considering the technical environment.
  • Work together with onsite installers for any alterations needed of installation equipment or tools.
  • Assemble, test, update, and monitor all electrical equipment to ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
  • Install assemblies for protection relays, metering, and monitoring devices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant environment or comparable job position.
  • Trained in using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Excellent interpretation and drafting skills of technical drawings.
  • Confident in designing and implementing improvements in electrical processes.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently.
